Canopy Management: VSP trellis, bi-lateral cordon, 6×9 spacing, 807 plants per acre.

Elevation: 1320 to 1460 ft

Aspect: South-facing gentle slope

Rainfall: Less than 7″ annually

Soil: Harwood-Burke-Wiehl very stony silt loams, 15 to 40 percent slopes with depths of 20” to 40.”


Sangiovese is the most widely planted cultivar in Italy. This Super Tuscan-style blend highlights 90% Sangiovese (Grosso clone) and 10% Petit Verdot.
